9 months

Here is my yard sale find of the week. The Cozy Coupe was only $5. Too bad it is pink/purple but I guess I can't be picky. THey love it. Kayla can even squeak the horn.

Here are our monthly pictures in their bouncy seats. I can't belive how grown up they are looking and even acting. They pull up on everything (Kayla with 1 hand) and are speed crawlers. They aren't my little babies any longer.

We are now in their convertable carseats, hopefully they will be happier to sit up and see out the window.

We have been using these bath seat for safety. They love the bath but wanted to crawl around and on top of each other. They have more fun and I don't worry when they are in these. I hope their love of baths will transfer to the pool.

Teeth

Well, last Sunday Tanner got his first tooth, we are still waiting for the other bottom one, it is right there, but not through the skin yet. On Tuesday, Kayla got her 4th tooth, Those top teeth are growing fast. Which bring us to our problem. She loves to put things into her mouth and chew on them. For the past couple of weeks, she has been biting any cloth she can get her mouth on, often my pants or shirt. I knew it was just a matter of time before she bit me. Well on Friday she bit a tiny piece of my shoulder, just a tiny pinch that left a little mark. Then this morning she was giving me kisses and decided to bite my lip, ouch. I don't know that I want anymore kisses from her. Hopefully Tanner will stay out of the way and we can break this habit soon. Wish us luck.

Kyle's Parent visit

Kayla loves to climb into, on top of, through places and then can't get out. Here is her most recent. Then she was scared to climb down the 6 inches to the floor.

We took our trek to the Bellagio conservatory to see their display that is changed 6 times a year. Now is is decorated for spring.
Both babies love to sit on Kyle's shoulders. They hold on tight to his hair, Hence he keeps it really short. Notice that good grip.

Notice the snail in the background. It is madeof 1200 roses.
Our "cadillac cruiser" of a stroller. It makes my life so much easier to take out 2 babies.

Our Friend Lettie

We had a little family staying with us for 2 months while their house was getting finished. Lettie is 1 mo younger than Kayla and Tanner. They all had fun playing together. It was nice to have company around during the day and especially in the evening as Kyle works a lot. They have moved into their house now, so we will miss her and Trista and Morgan. Hopefully we will still see them often.

We even dressed Kayla and Lettie alike one day.

I put barettes in Kayla's hair for the first time this week. It is getting long enough to stand up and be unrully but not long enough for much of a do yet. So I am trying, but usually by midmorning it is scary. Kyle turned to me in church today and said, " What happened to Kayla's hair." I had fixed it after her bath and then again after her nap when we left for church. Oh well, I will just pray it grows, grows, grows.

Crazy internet game

I've been tagged so here goes:A ~ Each person has to list 6 facts / habits about themB ~ After part A go to 6 people's blog's and leave a comment letting them know to read your blog and that they have been tagged. List at the end of your posting who you have tagged.

fact-Being a twin mom is the best, the rest of the world is just missing out.

fact-my babies get more fun every day, every week, every month-I love how they crawl around and can play together

fact-I love to bake and try new recipes or especially alter ones to what I think will be better

fact- I love to do crafts and am enjoying my new found time to make great things for my babies.

fact-I love my family and wish I lived closer to them.

habit-I tried to think of a habit, but life with twins doesn't leave time to make habits, you just do it the fastest and easiest way.

I tag-Jamie, Maria, Lauren, Cherise, I think that is all I know.

First words-we both win

I think we have first words here. They have both been saying mamamamama and dadadadada off and on for a while. But on Thurs morning Kayla looked right at me and said mama. Two min later she did it again. Then all day yesterday Tanner would look at Kyle and say dada. I guess we each were first. Yeah for talking.

Tanner is Crawling

Tanner started finally crawling yesterday. For what seems like weeks now he has been going from sitting to a crawling position but then falls to his stomach. But he finally did it yesterday. He is getting better today, but I can never call him to come to me. He only crawls when he wants to and to where he wants to. And he can now go from crawling to sitting. This took Kayla a couple of weeks to do and he learned in one day. I went into check on him sleeping from a nap today and he was sitting up with his back against the rails instead of sleeping. It was too funny, you could see he was so proud of himself. After that he kept practicing on the floor and then decided to sit up instead of lay down to go to bed. Kyle complains that you lay Kayla down and in 3 sec she sits up and then stands up. I know Tanner isn't far behind. He can already pull himself to his knees all the time and often to his feet. So I am sure it will be soon happening in the crib as well, since he already gets on his knees. I am sure bedtime will me so much more fun now.

Random Shots

Here are a few things the babies have been doing the last few weeks. Kayla things everything Tanner does looks fun so she has to get in the way.
Isn't paper fun.
This is their little friend Lettie.

Kayla things she only has to eat table food now. Sometimes she will let me feed her, but this is how she prefers to eat.

More Chair Pictures

Before I just posted Tanner's plain chair, I have since added do-dads to his and then finished Kayla's and garnished hers as well. I do have to give the credit to Trista for the garnishing as I copied hers. As you can see Lettie's cool chair as well. I do have to say their favorite position is standing up holding the back, but then again, they always want to stand now.

Animal Name books

I had someone show me an animal name book that was made. I decided to make one for each of my kids for their first birthday. They take a while to do, so I have already started. I am getting there. I just had to share what I have accomplished already. I haven't done the embroidery stitching yet to add detail, but if I do say so, they are looking great. I will share more updates as they are getting closer to finished.

I am so crafty

I wanted to buy these foam chairs for the babies that were at walmart but they were expensive and I didn't really like the fabric on them. But my friend Trista remember some PVC pipe chairs she had as a child that her grandparents made. We found a picture and made our own. They were really easy and so cute. Plus it only cost $5 plus the fabric which I already had. If you want I will tell you how to make them. So easy.

Walking

You will never believe what Kayla did this morning. She took a couple steps all by herself. My little girl is walking.
