What we've been up to

Well I think the babies are finally well after 2 1/2 weeks of being sick. I even had to take Kayla in to have blood drawn. They did a good job but she didn't like it as you might imagine, I didn't either. But they seem to be happy and healthy. Let's hope it lasts.

I tried to take a picture in here fancy dress today. Well you can see the result. First hands waving around and then a foot in the air.

Kayla seems to have grown all her hair on the top and none on the sides. She seems to have to opposite trouble as her uncles with nothing on the top and all on the sides.

My babies love to play outside. In the morning it is still wet from the sprinklers, which is fine with them. The water makes it that much more fun to play in.

Steps and more steps

Well yesterday Tanner took his first steps. Kyle didn't belive me and I had Tanner show him this morning and he took a couple more after a few tries. Go little man. So both my babies are taking steps. Everyday Kayla takes a few steps a dozen times. She still doesn't walk to me but to get where she wants between toys or couches. She can stand up on her own from the middle of the floor. She stands up and raises her arms like "look at me".

They have both learned how to get on the little riding toy I bought for $2 (what a bargain). They also can push it with their feet. I was impressed. Kayla has even started pushing Tanner while he is sitting on it.

They have both been sick for the last week. I am ready for them to get better. They are both coughing now, poor little guys. Tanner is also about to cut his top 2 teeth. Grow teeth, grow. I am ready for them to break through and make him happier.

Our Week

Here is a little of what happened this week. We had company on Sunday so I made Chocolate Oatmeal Bars. Kayla wanted to "help". She learned how to eat batter out of the bowl and loved licking the beater. Then on Thursday I made Chocolate Chip Cookies for a craft group I am in charge of. This time Tanner got to lick the beater.
I wanted pictures taken with my babies for Mother's Day. It didn't happen that day but I finally got them taken. I have tons of pics of them with Kyle but he never takes them for me.

Kayla and Jello, need I say more. They both love to play outside. This morning Kayla slept in, she hasn't been feeling well so I didn't wake her. So I took Tanner downstairs and when I put Sasha outside he wanted to go as well. I kept watching him as I was cooking. I heard the sprinklers come on and looked and he was dry. A couple of minutes later I look out the door and Tanner is sitting in the spray with a big grin on his face. I ran to get the camera. I don't know if you can see but he came in soaked and smiling.

10 month pics

Well life has been busy, I ended up subbing all last week at my old school for a teacher whose husband past away unexpectedly. It was fun but I am glad I am not a working mom. Kyle got lots of time with them while trying to do real estate in the morning. Thanks to Trista for watching them 2 afternoons. Kyle's parents were her Thursday and Friday and watched them those afternoons. It worked out but was very busy and they sure missed mom.
So last week they turned 10 mo old but I didn't get pic posted. This week has been very busy with at least 2 places to go everyday except today. I am just glad to stay home. I can't belive next month my babies will be 1.

Also a health update on Tanner's foot. We had x-rays done and they were concerned enough to send us to a specialist. With much ado about nothing, the specialist said of his 2 tendons one is stronger and that is why his foot points out 90 degrees. He can turn it straight and even in. So as he learns to walk and stands more the weaker tendon will strengthen and should pose no problem. That is good news. I was worried. We will check back in 6 mo just to be safe but at least I know why now.

Playing outside

The babies are having a blast playing outside. We go out most days while it isn't too warm. Soon that will have to stop with the heat. Kayla explores the whole yard. She loves to push the bike until it hits rocks. Tanner still doesn't like the grass. He is ok now though if just his feet touch. THey both hate to wear shoes and just pull them off so that doesn't help with the grass much.
Before they were born Kyle registered for these bibs and thought them so funny. I finally got a picture together.

Climbing away.
