Easter Dress Pics

I always love Easter pictures of kids. I would normally take them on Easter morn before church but our church holds a church wide meeting twice a year where we listen to our modern day prophets in April and October. Well this year, Easter falls on one of those meeting so we will not have regular church. So we decided to wear our Easter dress this past week. Here are a few shots we took. I think they turned out pretty well. Let me know what you think. Kayla was so thrilled to wear her new dress and hat. She loves to dress up and look pretty. Tanner just put up with all the pictures. I had to work really hard to get him to look at the camera and smile but not do his cheesy smile and close his eyes.
I told them to stand close to gether and Tanner wanted to give hugs. He is now my snuggler. I love it.

Easter Projects

A friend of mine made these with her daughter and inspired me to do the same. Kayla was gone with Kyle and I knew it would be a lot more relaxed with only one helper so Tanner and I set to work. He rolled, and rolled.
Then we had to melt the chocolate.
Tanner got to sprinkle the goodies on top.
But the best part was the taste.
On Sunday we don't have church until 11:00 so we made some Easter eggs with tissue paper. Kayla loved it and Daddy had to help Tanner
All he wanted to do was color it.
Kayla kept at it until her egg was was more than covered. She used everyone of the squares. More is always better right. Even if they are 5 or 10 thick.

Our last week

Here is what we have been up to for the last week or so. We made a chocolate cheese cake. Really easy and so good. Kyle thought it was too rich but I loved it.
Reading, Reading and more Reading. The kids love to read all the time. I am so glad for this.
I pulled out the Easter decorations and they were thrilled. They loved their blow up Easter bunnies and the baskets of eggs. Think they played with them for like 3 hours the day we go tthem out.
We at our first popcycles of the season. We had great weather at the beginning of the week adn then it got cold and windy. Oh well. Tanner kept telling me that his popcycle was cold. Really?? We ended up having to save half of it for later as he couldn't deal with all the cold. What happened.??
We have a great hammock that the kids love to lay in,. Or should I say Kyle loves to lay in. It is a fun place to relax outside.

Hardman's Visit

They were so enthralled with the chocolate fountain that they couldn't look at the camera. This is in Bellagio and holds the world record for the largest chocolate fountain. We have been here a couple times and they are always enthralled.
Tanner actually smiling instead of the fake cheesy smile I always get now.

Kayla with her cheesy smile in the car.
At the Bellagio conservatory. They redo this like 5 times a year and it is always amazing. We often go when Grandma and Grandpa Hardman come in town.
Kevin and Heidi ang G and G came  for the basketball conference here and we spent a couple of hours with them on Saturday afternoon at the Bellagio and then had pizza for lunch.
Grandpa Reading. My kids love to read books. I read dozens of books a day adn then still tell them that I won't read anymore. It was nice to have someone else to read to them.

Drawing and Stamps

My kids are starting to ask to draw. Tanner loves to draw pictures for 3 people. They are either for Drew (the most popular), Grandma, or Whitney. Kayla loves to sit and hold her pencil/pen/marker the correct way and draw little tiny things. She can draw T's even if they are mostly sideways. She hasn't figured out how to draw K yet. But I am sure she will soon. Good thing they have 3 missionaries, 2 Grandma's and lots of aunt and uncles to send them to.
This is Tanner's new cheesy grin.

The Stamps are the best. Tanner loves to do them.
Can you see the T's?

Dress up

Kayla loves to dress up in her princess dresses. Luckily I had bought a cowboy outfit for Tanner as he always wants to put on the dresses. He had his cowboys boots on already and I couldn't resist a picture.

Sticker Wall

I came down stairs on Monday to find Tanner doing this. Luckily it was just stickers that pulled right off.

He was sure proud of himself.
